SEIZE CARD GAME
SEIZE is a space themed card game that involves 5 player ships, 2 asteroids and a completely unique deck of cards. It is inspired by the classic card game 'Spoons' as well as new ones like Exploding Kittens and Throw Throw Burrito.
The goal of the game is to move your player piece closer to the end planet by being the first to complete a round and then winning an 'asteroid' duel! The winning spaceship is the player that made it to the planet first and seized it.
SEIZE PLAYING CARDS
The gameplay takes inspiration from 'Spoons' where players need 4 of the same number card in order to win. However, this would require a standard playing card deck and would feel like any other card game.
To make Seize more unique and further play into the space theme, I designed a new set of 52 cards (13 individual cards, 4 of each). Each one is based on a different celestial objects, from a tiny comet to the all-encompassing black hole.
Gameplay and Board!
The goal of the game is to get 4 of the same card in your hand, and once you do grabbing an asteroid to challenge another player.
The challenger and the challenged would then duel by throwing the asteroids at one another and whoever won would move up on the game board. First to 5 points, reaching and seizing the planet, wins the game!
